I can't fully explain what draws me to a horror film
there is the "what happens now" that occasionally grabs my attention like a burr to velcro, other times it a favorite icon, location or director (examples, in turn - Jason, New Orleans or Tim Burton)
Still I've heard there is something released in the brain similar to the enjoying of chocolate while watching of horror films
I'm not saying I get turned on by these flms but I do have a guilty pleasure of -- wow, glad that isn't ME in that situation(s)
