Magnitude-7.2 Quake in Baja Shakes SoCal

Several quakes are reported near the California-Mexico border.

A magnitude-7.2 earthquake in Baja California could be felt in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. Several aftershocks or other quakes have been reported.

Initial reports said the quake was magnitude-6.9, but officials with the USGS mentioned that number might change.

The quake's epicenter was located about 108 miles east-southeast from Tijuana, about 38 miles southwest San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, and about 16 miles south-southwest Guadalupe Victoria, Baja California, Mexico.

Ughhhhhhhhh....more big quakes! So far this year we have had 1 MAJOR quake per month. Thats not good in my opinion.

I heard about this via Twitter. I heard it's actually a huge difference in how it feels from 7.0 to 6.9, even though its only a point off.

Yeah i have heard that to. The way the scale works, which is just a little to complicated for me to explain, that one point can make all the difference. So imagine something with a few more points to it and how much stronger that is. All these big quakes are un-nerving. I hope i never have to experience one.

Illinois has the biggest fault line in the US and I am sitting right on it. Last time the fault line had a quake the Mississippi River reversed it's flow for about an hour or so. Hope I'm not around when that quake hits.

Theres so much commercialized hype about 2012 etc, that its instilled so much fear and dread in people that they dont know what to believe. This 2012 stuff is a little more to it then what were being told. People need to do their own research and stuff and learn about whats actually going on. This isnt something thats gonna be like "BAM we wake up on the 21st of Dec. 2012 and all hell has broken loose" kinda deal. This is a gradual process taking place, and i believe these quakes are apart of that process from what i have researched and learned.

Well for one its the great galactic alignment of all the planets! They arent just gonna all pop in alignment on the 21st of December 2012 like alot of people think. Its a gradual process. And with that process, shit happens. Confusedharepopcorn:
