Evil BongDo you get high? The Marijuana Thread

Mr. Goodness: I hate the smell of pot because to me it smells like skunk and when it's burning it smells like burning mold or something.

Briggz: I'm one of the people who thinks that pot should be legalized for medicinal purposes but for leisure, I'm still a little bent on the subject. I don't think people should be imprisoned but maybe a fine.

I used to smoke a lot of the reef back in the day. Not so much anymore. I'll usually light up a blunt at the end of the work week, sometimes if I have a bad day at work. It's always nice to have one on a nice summer night with a beer.

One of the reasons I stopped smoking so much is I had a horrible experience. I only took two small hits (didn't smoke at all that day) and shit hit the fan. Felt like my brain was expanding, ready to explode scanners style. Then, I was freezing my ass off and it was actually a summer evening. All the clocks said 9:09pm for felt like was four hours and actually burned my hand in the oven trying to make some tater tots. Then at one point, I actually thought I left my body and could see myself sitting on the couch....dead.

I found out later the guy I get it from, his dealer found out the cops were going to raid his house so he laced all PCP on all of the weed.

Shit man... wtf. Is it any wonder I stay away from all such mind altering substances? I'll stick with the occasional tequila haze of happiness.

I would rather get high than take a shot of tequilla. Unless it's patron.

FreddysFingers: A fine or perhaps community service sounds reasonable to me, if not legalization. The only thing I have a problem with is having to go to prison, losing chunks of your life in a place full of concentrated hatred, for any amount of a substance basically proven to have no overly negative effects in the short term. Stuff like cocaine or PCP, stuff that can ruin your mind or kill your body in a relatively short span of regular usage is different.

Sobriquet: I'm with Scarecrow, except I don't drink at all. It sounds to me like stuff that tastes bad and makes you feel miserable.

This little saying about tequilla is true...

One tequilla, two tequilla, three tequilla...four!
five tequilla, six tequilla, seven tequilla...floor!

Truth.

I can agree with you Briggzby! Sending folks to prison for pot is a bit much. Especially if there is a shortage on prison cells as it is.

I don't have those issues with booze... usually. I mean, I've never passed out, I've never lost time or memories, I don't get belligerent, but I do end up worshiping the porcelain god if I overdo it too much. Thus, I'm a pacer when I drink, which isn't often. The only time I've been drunk in the last 5+ years was in Feb when I visited DB. Drinks just kept appearing in front of me like magic and apparently, they transported to my stomach through osmosis because I don't remember picking that many up. That ended up so badly. lol

I really try to pace myself but when there are $4 you-call-its, it's hard to stop. I get quiet drunk, then stupid drunk, then 80's drunk and cap it all off with playing my Sega Genesis drunk.

pot is legal here. we have pot bars in Sacramento and Oakland, its pretty much sold like alcohol. when you cross the Bay Bridge, the bridge that separates Oakland and San Francisco, there's an huge bill board for a pot bar.

Oh crap! We drank WAY too much! There was a man... on the bar... NOT behind the bar, ON the bar... with a bottle of whiskey. Evil, evil man...

If I remember correctly (which I can't claim to do, considering) you didn't even make it home before you had to give the P. G. a hey-how-are-ya. Poor thing. LOL

I remember at my prom, I was assigned by the district to video tape it for archival footage but instead, as I already explained, I went around drinking people's spiked punch. Midway into prom, my friends and I were knocking on people's hotel room doors and ditching. By the time prom ended, I had to drive home but instead I called my parents and told them I was staying over and somebody else's house but what really happened was that I fell asleep in my car that was parked in front of a cemetery.

LOL, nuttiness. I didn't go to my prom.

Prom is pretty overrated. Just a bunch of schmucks "grinding their girls" to the sound of techno, rap and bland pop.

Yeah, I only went to one dance in HS... senior year Homecoming and it was such a bad experience for me that I realized why I never went to any of them before that.

I had to video tape Homecoming. Instead, I stayed near the buffet to pig out on cocktail snacks. I had to go to all those damn school dances. :/
