Adeliade, Australia (AHN) -- A woman accused of torching her husband's genitals and killing him is seeking to negotiate a plea bargain with prosecutors. The ongoing negotiations have reportedly caused the trial to be delayed.
Lawyers for Ranjini Narayan, 44, have asked Australian court officials to stall the case. Currently Narayan is charged with murder, arson and endangering life.
Allegedly in Dec. 2008 Narayan poured a flammable liquid over her husband Satish Narayan and then set him ablaze. She also knocked over the flammable liquid causing flames to spread resulting in extensive damage to the structure the two shared.
Her 44-year-old husband suffered extensive burns from the fire and later died in the fire.
When questioned why she committed the act Narayan said her husband loved another woman.
