4 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 cups orange juice
Juice of 2 lemons
You will need:
medium sized saucepan
10" x 10' baking pan
foil or plastic wrap
1. Combine the water and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring often, then boil over medium heat for 5 minutes.
2.Remove from heat until cool, then stir in the orange and lemon juices. Pour into a small (10" x 10') baking pan. Cover with foil or plastic wrap. Put into freezer.
3. Let the mixture freeze undisturbed for half and hour, then stir it every half-hour for 1 1/2 or 2 hours. until the ice is evenly frozen. Don't forget to do this or you will have ice hard enough for a skating rink istead of a good thing to eat!
cheers!!!

seeing as I'm probably the biggest lightweight for alcohol content in the forums I have to ask...
isn't vodka supposed to be tasteless?
and if so - why add it???

Vodka is tasteless but flavors can be added into it like lemon flavored vodka. Most people add it to get drunk fast.

A good Vodka should have no after taste. Bar/shelf vodka tastes like rubbing alcohol. Juices cover that. I was a bartender in my former life.

I'll bring the munchies to go with whatever people bring - somehow just getting "trashed" doesn't quite fill the *feel* of what the site has come to mean to me :biggrinjester:

I'd be outside on the porch, wearin' a tank top, holding a pop-gun thinking it's a shotgun cause of the whiskey, falling in and out of sleep. But yes, this needs to happen.
