Rosemary's Baby Wrote:Yes, I was. I'm feeling better now. Now, Kid is sick. Her flu test was negative, but they figure that's what she has.
Thank you for asking about me.

Anytime friend

I hope kid is getting better
She is feeling better now. Only about 95% crazy, but I'm sure after another day of rest that she'll be fine.
yea she should be better soon.

Sadly the swine is all up in my lil area... :reddisgust:
I'm so LUCKY I have not got it yet...
Oh and also sadly this state has no more H1N1 Shots left...
Hell it's West Virginia were like the State that people either joke about, or forget about.
I hope everything is okay. Swine Flu can totally suck on deez nuts.
My cousin saw Paranormal Activity and she said it was bad ass.
I heard that there are 2 ingrediants in the H1N1 shot that hasn't been approved for human consumption & it could kill more kids than the H1N1 virus
Shit really?
What is it if you know?
------
Also I heard they have a shot and a nasal spray,
one is the dead virus, and one is the live virus.

Don't you love how medicine comes out that will stop a certain thing but there can be numerous side-effects and they're usually horrible as all fuck.
They try to rush things out and then find out it can kill you. Look at Phen-Phen (sp?). I'm not sure what the ingrediants are, but kid isn't getting it. I don't like to take any risks that we don't have to. They gave her an antibiotic when she had the flu because the thing that kils kids is pneumonia. Not sure if it was H1N1, but it has been around her daycare and the school. A local high school had to stop having football pactice because half the team had it.
Anyway, back on topic...Paranormal Activity. We watched it the other night. I thought the trip was awesome, but the ending was okay. A little disappointing. The build up was intense. You start questioning every little noise you hear. You really start to dislike one of the characters by the end. Worth a watch, but I don't know if I'd watch it again.
Okay. I read the IMBD version of Paranormal Activity. I have to say, we got a hold of the Director's version, not the theatrical release. I was really confused when they said that there was going to be a sequel. (announced 10-25-09 by Paramount)
In the director's version, Katie kills Micah then goes back upstairs to sit and rock for about 20 hours. A friend stops by, sees the body, calls the cops. Cops come in, Katie wakes up freaking out. Runs at them with a bloody knife in her hand. The cops shoot her dead. End of movie.
In the theater version, she throws Micah's body at the came, grins evilly, runs away and a title card says that they haven't been able to find her. Sounds much better.
I really want to see the theatrical version now.

Well I have seen BOTH versions....
I mean the flick is OKAY...
But nothing I would go out of my way to see...
oh and also Rose, I wouldn't give your kid the shot either...
I mean I aint getting it either.
So far I have not caught the swine! Thank GOD!
My wife brought home flu shots from the office for our whole family, gave 'em to us yesterday (she's a nurse). We'll see what happens . . . .
As for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: Loved it. I got some serious goosebumps during this movie -- something that very rarely happens to this jaded old horror fan! Not sure if it'll have a whole lot of replay value, though (which is my problem with THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT these days, as much as I originally loved that one in the theater). Also, I didn't care for that last second of the movie at all -- it went against the tone of everything that had come before it, IMO, felt too "Hollywood scary movie", if that makes any sense. But I did dig PARANORMAL ACTIVITY a lot, and can't wait to buy the DVD when it's released.

It actually never scared me or made me jump... and I thought the movie was BORING lol.
I agree that it was slightly overrated. I heard it being compared to The Exorcist before I went to see it. It was noway as scary as The Exorcist. However, Paranormal Activity was in noway shit or boring! I thought it was a pretty decent film, and for $15,000, I'm sure they are pleased

.
(I also got in for free so woohooo. Tesco clubcard vouchers

)
Paranormal Activity is alright, but it's very far from being known as one of the scariest movies of all time. Someone trying to put this movie in the same league as The Exorcist is just insulting.
I think the reason why people are saying it's overrated is because they didn't have the chance to see the advanced screenings. I saw an advanced screening before there was any hype, before I knew what it was and before it was theatrically released... which is why I thought it was terrifying.
For me, it seemed so real and so genuine. I barely heard of the movie and there was not hype prior to my screening.

I thought it was scary.
Just overrated.
That's to be expected, if you're expecting something to be terrifying.... its likely you won't be.
Even though I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the exorcist without being scared lol
I'm definitely itching to see this one still; The Strangers went through this type of anti-hype backlash itself and IMO that was one of the best horror films this (ending) decade!
Nah man trust me... this movie blows huge balls...
I mean its okay.. but it's WAY Over-Rated!
