Coincidentally, I just blogged about this remake. Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick Ass, Dark Shadows) snagged the title role. Probably the most divisive part of this script is that they opted to set it in the present day. Purists will say if it ain't set in the seventies it ain't Carrie. We of the more open mind are willing to consider how much more can be added to Carrie's torments in this age of cyber-bullying. I guess we'll see sometime in spring, '13.
