Random Horror Thoughts - Scarecrow - 06-05-2011

Random Horror Thoughts is a simple but fun thread. You can say anything in here that is related to horror, which can something as random as noticing something weird in a film, a thought about a specific scene or even quoting one of your favorite lines. I'll start it off...

I find it hard to believe sometimes that Johnny Depp's first film was A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Great topic R.I.P.

Could you imagine what the world would be like if Brundle's machine didn't screw shit up? I wouldn't have to pay and arm and a leg to travel 3 miles. Big Grin

Random Horror Thoughts - Scarecrow - 06-05-2011

Thanks. I could only imagine if it did, though.

I can't wait for The Thing prequel to be released. I just found out it's coming this October.

I don't know why people think that The Human Centipede was controversial, or good at all. I found it boring, and not very good.

:chuckshmucky:
the guy who does the voice for Child's Play's own Chucky - Brad Dourif
also played Billy Bibbit - the stuttering guy playing opposite Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest

Random Horror Thoughts - Scarecrow - 06-05-2011

I thought The Human Centipede looked like a stupid film. I didn't even bother watching it.

Random Horror Thoughts - LolliePop - 06-05-2011

I did watch the Human Centipede. And no, it wasn't that controversial, but I did like the villian quite a bit.

Random Horror Thoughts - Scarecrow - 06-05-2011

I'm in the mood to watch The Lost Boys.

Random Horror Thoughts - LolliePop - 06-05-2011

I did fancy seeing Priest but I've heard nothing but negative buzz. Will no doubt see it anyway...

Random Horror Thoughts - Scarecrow - 06-05-2011

I saw it. It wasn't bad and it wasn't good either, just a cheesy film where not only do you have to turn off your brain, but leave it at the ticket booth as well.

Yeah, it's retarded. I'm not even going to bother with the sequel.

Random Horror Thoughts - DragonBlues - 06-05-2011

I just thought of the movie Floating Heads. And that's pretty fucking random.

Random Horror Thoughts - Sobriquet - 06-05-2011

There is the sequel in the works already? Why do all the shit movies get regurgitated before we've even swallowed the poison pill in the first place?

Random Horror Thoughts - Dr. Briggs - 06-05-2011

Still haven't seen Human Centipede, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I watched The Maze (2010) which everyone said sucked (I found it damn good for a recent slasher), not to mention The Strangers.

Random Horror Thoughts - LolliePop - 06-05-2011

I need to get my hands on Steak Land, if only to see what Kelly McGillis is like now!

I agree. I walked in thinking it would make me puke but I walked out scratching my head. I think the director/writers wanted to gross out the audience simply by thinking of the grossest thing imaginable, which isn't horror. However, what it did accomplish was a great menacing mood and I believe the doctor will go down as being one of the greatest modern day mad scientists on film.

Random Horror Thoughts - LolliePop - 06-05-2011

Absolutely. Even if you dislike the film overall the doctor is fantastic. I couldn't fail to be impressed by Dieter Laser.

Random Horror Thoughts - FreddysFingers - 06-05-2011

I hope Laser gets more film roles. He was the only thing that made that movie good. He needs to be in the eventual remake of Slumber Party Massacre as the freakshow with the drill.

Random Horror Thoughts - LolliePop - 06-05-2011

I will be interested to see how the sequel fairs after the ending of the original Centipede... I have to admit to having more sympathy for the beloved 3 dog too! lol wasnt the ending of Slumber Party Massacre a pool scene aswell...?

Random Horror Thoughts - FreddysFingers - 06-05-2011

I watched that damn movie about four weeks ago and I can't remember. I do remember a pool kill scene though. Regardless, I'm not at all interested in the sequel to Human Centipede. I think the arcade-style video game version of it is better than the original and the eventual sequel.
