FreddysFingers Wrote:Nothing personal it was just a really, really, really long post and I didn't expect it to be that long. LOL!

The stuff on the DPP list was from Wikipedia. Good find, Gore. Smile

Thanks Smile

Wasn't easy getting rid of the links portion.

They aren't in the EXACT order just in case someone quotes that as Wiki though because I did type the first couple out myself from my collection, so, if you want to quote, just look up the list on there and you'll have not only a complete list, but a WAY nicer format Smile

TerrorScribe Wrote:A colleague of mine sent me a tweet yesterday that got me thinking. He wanted a list of films from me of infamous "shock" horror movies. I asked him if he wanted actually shocking or advertised as shocking. He said he wanted either. So, here was what I came up with on the fly:

Nosferatu (1922)
Dracula (1931)
The Tingler (1959)
The Exorcist (1973)
Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

What would you consider a "shocking" movie? What makes it so?

Hard Candy-had some seriously shocking moments in it--Ellen Page was absolutly terrifying as the young girl torturing a pervert she met online
Broken-Nadja Brand as a women taken by a deranged mountain man was quite shocking and relativly disturbing
OLdboy-a Korean man held captive for 15 years finds out why
Torture is only truly pleasurable when performed.....slowly----The Machine Girl
