#1
Sources within Clive Barker's camp have informed Shocktillyoudrop of a new Hellraiser (!) film that's rapidly going into production.Details are scarce at the moment, but the film is called Hellraiser: Revelations and is based on a script by Gary Tunnicliffe. Victor Garcia is sitting in the director's seat. He recently wrapped Mirrors 2 for Fox.STYD Is told that this is another stand-alone Hellraiser tale and shooting is expected to begin soon. Stay tuned for more details - such as, what does this mean for the remake? - as they come in. --Shocktillyoudrop.com

Hopefully (I'm hoping against hope) this means the original tales will keep coming out occasionally despite the remake's coming into being... but that never happens, which is a shame because Pinhead as we know him has become a classic horror character X(

I'm just really hoping this doesn't end up like parts 5-8.

Last time I saw them was a few years back and I didn't care for the story and the fact Pinhead made very small and few appearences, this was at time when I had only seen the 3rd Hellraiser movie.
@nicole the remake was suppose to be in 3D.

@mrblue: I can understand that although I don't personally agree. To me, even though the cenobites themselves weren't in high focus for much of 5 and 6 I still found the films to be interesting visions of two peoples' private hells added to the film mythos, real mindbenders at that.

There's rumors that Doug Bradley won't be reprising the role of Pinhead. First Robert doesn't play Freddy in the noes remake and now this.

I was never a fan of the Hellrasier series. The first one was decent but they crumbled after that.

You mean for Revelations or the remake? If it's for a sequel, then that's ridiculous... If for the remake, I can sort of get it, as apparently the Pinhead from Barker's story was female >.>

Well yeah, I'm just saying that it would be understandable if a remake based on a film based on a book used new actors for established characters.

For Revelations... that's really, really unfortunate. I can't even tell you. Don't think I'll be regarding his one as canon unless it's pulled off very well.

Early plot details for Hellraiser: Revelations- the plot will follow two friends who unleash Pinhead (who becomes their master of pain). Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath hoping to swap himself out with one of his friend's family members.
