The following rant was taken from another website when its author was *upset* about the depiction of *sexy* vampires and werewolves...

"I think that in about 5 years they'll make a movie about sexy zombies or sexy mummys... hell maybe even a sexy frankenstein. It's a mocery to all original horrer characters i tell you. Thanks for reading and tell me what you think about the -shutter- movie... Thanks :3"

You know it WOULD BE FUNNY (sarcasm me) if a vampire, wolf man "teamed" up with a zombie, mummy and a Frankenstein’s monster -- all got together looking for dates!

Think about it - the original bad boys looking for relationships? Can anyone else think how messed up/Three Stooges kind of "funny" this might turn out???

Okay maybe it'd be more primal
but this situation could and would a spin on the date movie that a horror fan would WANT to see?

Fido got pretty close to having a sexy zombie. Mr. Theopolis.

Back in 2007 or maybe sooner. It's a great flick and Mr. Theopolis is pretty funny.

Fido is alright. Also, it's on Netflix instant queue.

It's not the issue of being "sexy" (well, it sort of is), it's the issue of over-romanticizing and melodrama. I could imagine some creepily romantic stories stemming from legends of mummies (once saw a pseudo porno concerning a resurrected Egyptian queen), zombies (White Zombi, Re-Animator series, or of course, Return of the Living Dead 3), or Frankenstein-monsters (the potential is deep and wide, falling in love when your lover is the amalgamation of other once-living-and-loving beings)

Too many horror romances tone down the danger and tone up te cliche mysticism - ahh yes, vampires are so "majestic" and werewolves are so "noble"; that kind of thing should be an AFTERTHOUGHT after the mortal in the romance bypasses some fear, threat, or even disgust Tongue
“The Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audience’s deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... I’d better stop before I give myself nightmares”

that was kind of the idea...getting past all the fantasy and yet choosing to stay despite the reality
