I would recommend such a sequence because I actually like the concept, I just don't like how un-subtle it was in F13. They could have made it creepy as hell, slowly building up to the reveal of the reason for Mrs. Voorhees' wrath, taking a bit longer to reveal Jason witnessed the attack, having a more quiet, subdued sort of campfire scene...
