THANX 4 the HELP!!!!!
Hmm...
Just Before Dawn, it's got a great atmosphere even though it takes a while to "get started," make the sound of whistling terrifying (If you're into gore, search for the uncut version; if you don't care, try and find the 2-disk!)
Keep watching F13 movies
the French film Inside and the Italian film Tenebre (They're not exactly "slashers", but they do have a single main killer committing several murders)
Valentine is a better-than-average "modern slasher"
Get into the Child's Play series

I'll probably think of more later, do you have more specific preferences on what you want to see?
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ
