I also did some research when this film came out and I have to agree with Lilith here. The signs and what I saw on the trailer made it seem like it was about demon possession. I looked at old MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) documents and there were only about 2 or 3 cases in Nome dealing with possible UFOs. These cases were dismissed and reported simply as missing persons.
