No sooner are they moved in than Jesse begins to have horrific nightmares - ones that feature a burned man in a dirty red & green sweater, with knives on the fingers of his right hand. His neighbor & new sweetheart, Lisa, discovers the truth behind Fred Krueger and his horrible murder spree. Freddy vows to take over Jesse's body to continue his vile crimes against the Elm Street residents. Soon, people close to Jesse start dying violently. Will Lisa's love for Jesse be enough to help him overpower the demonic presence inside him?

Review
He’s back and he’s out for revenge! Yes, the dreaded Freddy Kruger is back in A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. Taking place about five years after the first Nightmare, we have learned what actually happened at the end of it. As it turns out Nancy had went crazy and her mom ended up supposedly killing herself in the house. The movie starts off with a laugh, as you see the bus driver is played by Robert Englund. As the momentum progresses you soon realize something is wrong and it turns out the bus driver has morphed into none other than Freddy. The movie has some cheep effects, but were clever for the time, and could be improved upon as they are starting to bring AMoES back. The story itself is a little bad, but it helps to setup Freddy’s back story. One thing that they tried to do to make Freddy a little more frightening is have his claws actually coming out of his fingertips, a little cheesy in my opinion, but I can see they were trying to make him scary. This movie has one of only a few adult kills in the franchise. They tried to do another tongue effect, but again it isn’t as good as the first one. This movie is more about Freddy possessing Jesse and not him killing in dreams, which I didn’t like. But seeing as it was the second movie they were still trying to figure out what Freddy’s niche was. They use some references to the first Nightmare through Nancy’s diary, a clever way to bring back a character without actually hiring her again. Overall the first Nightmare was a lot better, but this one had some good characteristics that were clever for the time, I’m glad they didn’t continue on into the franchise.

I give it 3.5/5 Head shots

Out running a killer is like out running a bear, you don't have to run just have a friend that is slower than you!
