I have to dredge up my old review of this movie where I actually provided some rebuttals to your claims but at least you went in with a fair mind. The way I saw it, I didn't believe in the whole 'bug' thing either but I think that was the point. You know the guy is insane but you watch how he spirals into delirium. I do agree that Friedkin did a great job in created a sense of panic, anxiety, and claustrophobia. I don't consider this A+ work but it's definitely not as bad as people say it is.
