"unrated" translates to "will scare you WORSE than R so leave the scardy-cats at home with a pizza"?

Not necessarily. The MPAA doesn't give a shit about people getting scared. It's the gore, blood, cursing, violence, nudity, vulgarity...etc. that determines a rating.

To have an unrated film, means the movie didn't get MPAA approval....which then gives the artist/ director freedom to portray anything.....ANYTHINNNNNG.

Adam Green was fine releasing Hatchet 2 straight to DVD just so he wouldn't have to deal with the MPAA again and risk compromising his movie by watering down FX. But thankfully, AMC movie theaters were behind his film and decided to pick up his movie as is, unrated, and show in their theaters. This is a first. And a test of unrated films to see if people really would watch them. That's why its important to go out and support this film. Yanno what I'm sprayin'? GO!! Cicken & biscuits & gravy!!!
