That's the only thing that I have a bone to pick with studios. They have an original idea in their hands and yet they don't want to market it because they are afraid it won't be a box office hit.
I don't know about that...AMC already had the movie, so shipping has nothing to do with it. Bottom line, the AMC theaters got nervous about being fined and the fact that the film wasn't generating revenue to offset any fines. Perhaps part publicity stunt because they knew this was all gonna go down with the MPAA, so free marketing for dvd sales.
Support the movie when it goes on demand and DVD. Fuck giant studios.
