JJ Abrams has only directed three movies though. Did they do marketing for Star Trek? I only recall the marketing stuff for Cloverfield and Super 8. Nolan's theme and similarities weren't as blatant in his earlier works. It's like they were more subtle in between films like Memento and Insomnia and then Batman Begins and The Prestige. I love the man's work and probably always will, but as far as promotion and advertising goes everything has kind of felt the same since The Dark Knight to me. That doesn't mean I won't enjoy this film, but it just kind of makes me less and less enthused about his future projects because it's basically shit we've already seen before.

Well, I still enjoyed the trailer. Honestly, even if they just did all dialogue and showed the final shot of Bane and Batman, I still would have been satisfied.

I guarentee there will be a poster of Bane within the next month of two.
