I think a lot of horror movies are ending up that way, where indie directors are aware that making a horror movie requires no talent so they use it as an incentive to create retarded comedy. It seems like zombie movies laid the groundwork and the rest followed shortly after. in terms of zombies, not many people are even aware that zombies were never like the Dawn of the Dead zombies let alone the Romero zombies from Night of the Living Dead. Zombies, in film, were once people put under hypnotic spell.
