I could see why some people wouldn't like it. It does sort of snail along and some of the action sequences are a bit lackluster but I loved it because it was sort of the first Carpenter film that I watched. With an ending that made me laugh childishly and a mood that gave me chills, though it's not his best movie by far… It was 80's cheese at its best.
