Borderland (2007)

I ve seen it -it's based on the Matamoros Cult Killings-in 1988 Mark Kilroy disapeared crossing the border during spring break. He was sacrificed by a Palo Mayombe cult-the leader-Adolfo Costanza believed the gods would reward him for sacrificing a "gringo" by making his drug smugglers invisible to the border guards. Costanza died in a shootout with the police; the high priestess of the cult Sara Maria Villareal Aldrete went to prison. I found the movie to be pretty close to the case up to a point -no movie can ever truly be exactly like the events.
