I love how these directors and writers believe that they are doing the modern generation of horror fans a favor by introducing them to these slashers by remaking and sequel-ing them. If they want to bring the serial killer to new generations as well as to "capture the original feel," then release the original. What these idiots probably won't understand is that what made the original so scary was how real, unsettling and gritty it was. How, the minute Leatherface appears, it's silent and almost surreal. How the red door can lead to anywhere and once you get dragged to the other side, it's over with. It was psychological to a point. But no, they'll amp this one up with blood, boobs, shrill music and flashy special effects.
