I still feel very strongly about them remaking Oldboy. With Spike Lee and Josh Brolin attached and Christian Bale's name being tossed around to join in as the villain, I'll admit that my interest is piqued. But I have a hard time believing a remake will be able to capture the same intensity, unpredictability, and atmosphere of the original film. I mean how the hell are they going to keep the original ending for US audiences? That shit wouldn't fly with mainstream neanderthals.
