Rob Zombie took the mystification and the 'boogyman' aspect of Micheal Meyers and stripped him of it in the first one. There is no longer that hometown atmosphere. The second one... was garbage.

Go 25 seconds into the video. I can't speak for his remake of Halloween 2, but I do know his remake of the first Halloween was not as good as the original.

In my opinion, I thought the remake was better, it shows more of where Michael Myers was coming from, and that there is something seriously wrong with him, and I think his remake of the 2nd is a way different and better story, showing that the psychotic gene runs in the Myers family. And I love movies with lots of blood and gore, and the originals did NOT have enough!

By showing who he is and where he comes from, your taking away the idea that evil itself can come from anywhere, at any point, from any family in small town America. By tapping into Michael's psyche your taking away that monster inside of him... the monster that is pure and simple evil that has not explanation. Rob had good intensions but he didn't know Michael well enough to make a good remake at all.

yeah you do, its not one of my favorie remakes though, well maybe it is actually lol I really like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre ones too, mainly The Beginning, and can't wait for Elm Street! of Friday sequel

i liked the remake it was pretty good better n Zombies Halloween remake.
Not to sure on the sequal tho. Its suppose to be set winter which be an interesting take on the story setting but havimg it in 3D like its planned to be kinda makes me not wanna watch it. It should be good tho cuz its gonna be the 13th movie in the franchise.

Nooooooooooo! I hate 3-D it ruins movie experience completely, if they do the sequel in 3-D, I will complain a lot, but a winter setting does seem interesting
