H2 was made in abt month. Of course it was gonna be good. If ppl hated his remake so much they shouldn't have even seen the sequal..

Well, the remake of Halloween was bad, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the Halloween 2 sequel. I think a lot of people were excited to see it because they thought it would be as good as the remake of Halloween... I don't think anybody would have suspected Zombie would have thrown in white horses, asshole characters and a messy plot.

I just literally feel like taking a HUGE dump on Rob Zombies shitty film
and on his shitty wife's forehead! Then I will make my bro teabag her!

The first Zombie "Halloween" is eons above this disaster. My primary complaints (besides the ridiculous, convoluted plot): annoyingly loud sound effects that take the violence to comedic levels (all you need are splat, crunch and zap title cardslike "Batman" to make it complete), always way too dark photography (no one thought to plug in a few lights?), a Michael Myers that looks like Vincent from TV's "Beauty and the Beast" (what's with the flowing robes?), and a love for characters that give the phrase "poor white trash" a whole new meaning (do these people EVER clean anything?). I also resent the introduction of characters just to butcher them off 45 seconds later. Well I know the actors in the film try their best, but have nothing to work with. A script overburdened with profanity (The F Word over and over and over) really doesn't allow for much "acting." I love Malcolm McDowell...but NOT in this movie. What a waste of a good actor. It also would've been a signal not to expect any shred of respectability that Zombie was able to retain in his first film. Unlike the first film, which was at least intriguing if not good, Zombie relies on every horror-cliché imaginable in order to unnecessarily pad the run time and the body count under the misguided belief that greatness is measured in terms of sheer brutality.

Personally, I think the only reason why he even added in that white horse shit was to give his wife a role. He feels the compelling need to add her in every one of his movies! We didn't need Mrs. Meyers in it.

Rob Zombie fan boy here! You guys are going to love me I can tell already.
This move had a great amount of bad parts to it, mainly cinematography stuff, but over all is a complete success. Based on your reactions to the film, Zombie managed to do exactly what he wanted to. He is purely the king of the antihero. Turning Dr. Loomis into the villan was a genious idea. By doing so he managed to bring out emotions in each of you that you would not have felt about just another Halloween movie. Same goes for Myers. The "confusing" visions seen by Myers are the perfect way to make you feel exactly how his mind works. Glimpses of what may or may not be reality provoking Myers to do the things he does. Plus Sheri Zombie is so much fun to look at. Although not nearly as good as The Devils Rejects or H1KC, H2 is my second fav of the Halloween series. Can you guess what the first is?

Like I already said though most of it was it the over use of weird angles, bad shots, and some really bad CGI. Other than that... amazing story. |
