To be honest the trailer doesn't look that great... The original was such a gritty shot film. You would think these re-makes are easy to get right but alas no...
The only re-make of a great 70's horror that worked for me is 'The Hills Have Eyes' P1...

That remake worked for almost everybody, same with Dawn Of The Dead.

I liked the original one...to me thats a classic. I dont think any remake could or will top it. And i am sure they will cut out all the "well known scenes", and thats just me putting it nicely. But, i will see it, just so i can bitch! ROFL!

I feel as though the original one is more gritty too, since I still haven't seen it I'm not sure. I'll probably see it to laugh.

It was an alright movie. The rape scenes were alot more calm then the original and I found it pretty tame for an unrated movie.

I don't know about u...but, calm seems like a great description of summing up a rape scene.

The rape scene was probably handled gently, the man caressing the woman ever so softly while forcing his throbbing member into virgin vanilla pie. She probably put up minimal to no effort to stop him but felt uncomfortable. He probably slapped her face around a few times and when he was finished he gently set her down on the floor and left.
I just realized, I am really sick.

When they were raping her it wasn't all rude and violent like the original. They just forced her down and raped her and then it fades to black after a minute. Nobody even started beating her or kicking her while she was down and called her a whore or slut like the original.

rape is just not the same anymore these days.

Wow. They are taking out all the "fun" of grindhouse movies. They did the same with Last House on the Left.
