Do you think Rob Zombie's Halloween remakes are better than the originals?

Most theaters offer the option of watching a movie in 3D or 2D, when a 3D movie is released. So, it should be a win/win either way. Plus, the 2D is cheaper. I, however, always select the 3D option when it's available. Another remake fan checking in, by the way. Smile

true that true that, and when you watch a 3-D movie in 2-D it is just awful, that's why I hated The Final Destination, but My Bloody Valentine was pretty good in 3-D, and Piranha 3-D looks pretty awesome.

John Carpenter's Halloween is a better film for me. I love how the film looks during the scenes when Laurie is walking from school, past the hedge rows and trees. Looks like there is a frost in the air... visually stunning.

I really like Rob Zombie's version also though...

It is visually stunning but I don't think Zombie knows anything about Michael Meyers. Rightfully so. By filling in the blanks with what he thinks only spells disaster.

I don't see how he could do that to those movies-if you liked them great -but I loved House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects

They're is no comparison between the original series and Rob Zombie's films. They are totally different entities.

And I love the original series more than Rob Zombie's. But Rob's movie's are still good because they are different. the remake and his sequel were good, and while i wasnt too happy about the "white horse/mommy and me visions" i was still excited to see another 'Halloween' on the big screen.

I'm patiently awaiting news on 'H3' the direct sequel to Rob Zombie's 'H2' i just don't want it in 3D.
