Yep, it's official. In August they are releasing Halloween 2. It picks up where the remake left off, and it is once again by Rob Zombie. I know we have a lot of haters for the remake (I kinda dug it, with the back story and all), but I don't think I feel happy about a second movie. Let it die Mr. Zombie!!!!Ewwwwww?

Okay I hated the Halloween remake. But forget about that. I really wish that directors like Rob Zombie would go make their own movies (and I did love The Devil's Rejects which was brilliant!) and stay away from remaking older films. Hell Aja has gotten stuck in remake hell after making Haute Tension. This is a real bummer. But then I suppose this is what they can get funded and off the ground.

TDR was awesome. House of 1K fucking sucked, though.

Yeah House of a Thousand Corpses has it's issues. For me it is an interesting false step in the development of a filmmaker. Zombie spent so much time referencing the movies he loved that his film turned out poorly (I don't blame studio cuts or interference). But he refined his ideas and made The Devil's Rejects, which again is one of my favorite movies.

I think rednecks are what he knows, which is why no matter what he writes is has those characters in it. Even when he is remaking Halloween! Personally if can keep making killer stuff like The Devil's Rejects with redneck characters I'll be thrilled.

Rob Zombies movies suck, unless your bored.. and havent seen much in your life and find his films intense.. Which they fail 2 be..
When i first heard Rob was remaking Halloween..
I WAS PISSED!
I just knew it was going to be Ruined.
But he surprised me..
It was actually good.
He really connected most the original movies all together and got it all in one, and finally made a lot of it make sense..
But then i saw the Previews for Halloween2.
And of course.
He couldnt go more than 2 movies without turning it into shit..
Its basically the same concept that he has for everything else,
From everyone of his music vidz. to every movie he has & will continue to make..
Basically..
Hi.. I want to make a sequel, but end it there so i dont have to make another..
Her honey.. Act crazy and dead and ill once again give you the lead role cause your the one i have sex with..
I HATE YOU ROB.
and i dont like anyone who will enjoy the film.
It just means your a fake, and dont know anything about Original Horror Films!

I actually loved it too, so did my husband and he's a die hard Halloween fan. Then again he's also a big Rob Zombie fan. I'm looking forward to H2. It should at the least be interesting. I'm getting a bit tired of remakes, after the remake of black xmas i've just decided not to bother to see them, so it's nice to see someone do something different.
