That actually sounds like it would be a fun slasher story. Simple premise about a pissed off dead guy. It could be called Pissed Off Dead Guy.

Pissed Off Dead Guy
Starring: "Scarecrow" as the pissed off dead guy.
I'd watch it. LOL

The downside is no fanfiction/continuations of well-established franchises in the competition. Original works only. That's the way I've always done it. That could always be a theme down the line though. I've just always preferred original works. If that story was written though, I'd want to see Fish as Loomis.

I'm not really happy with what I came up for the contest guidelines. I feel like it's incredibly cliche and just not creative at all, but I'm not exactly sure what to inject into it to make it feel more unique. A bunch of Halloween stories doesn't really sound all that exciting to me, especially with the half a dozen or so daily visitors coming to the site lately. I feel like the whole thing is a rush job that's taken three months to put together. Maybe this wasn't the best idea...

Seriously? I've felt that way as well, but that's been because my life has been a series of metaphysical traps recently, and I've done my best to reverse that feeling, because writing's my passion... I'm still into having this competition.
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ

Writing doesn't get any easier or better if you don't do it. Might as well keep the bitch on life support until you can find the treatment.

Alright, it's been over two months since this thread was first started. If you're still interested in participating, I'd like to get a head count. Cory's out, apparently. What about everyone else who signed up? Still interested? If not, now is the time to say or not say. If you don't reply, I'll probably just assume you're not interested and/or aren't visiting the forum anymore. Here's the list that I've got:
Participants:
1. DragonBlues
2. CarolinePar
3. Dodgson
4. Mfish618
5. Sobriquet
6. Mr. Briggs Inc
Judges:
1. LolliePop
2. Chainsaw Brutality
I didn't include myself in either list. I'm not entirely sure I'm going to have time to come up with an entry. I plan on trying, but I kind of have a lot of stuff going on at the moment. At the very least, I'll be the final judge for the contest.
Guidelines/contest thread will be posted next Thursday.
