"One of the best horror films out of Britain"? Highly unlikely. "One of the best horror films ever made"? HELL NO.
Just a collection of about 5 predictable supernatural (Only 2 of which really present any menace in them) tales that were done much better when rehashed on the Twilight Zone some years later. These tales are laughably and nonchalantly presented by laughable and nonchalant people in no real scary situation. The only bit of real creepiness I found was the last story and the climax, and that lasted for about 5 minutes and then went into a quite predictable conclusion.
I hear a lot of people like this one, and as much as I didn't, I'd like to hear what others think... I just cannot understand how this has become a minor classic whensome much better stuff is dimissed as cheesy or cliche.

âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ
