Where do you think they should take the sequel? Should Liv Tyler's character survive the attack? Maybe after she screams she should just die? What do you think? If it was up to you, how would The Stranger 2 turn out? Should they reveal The Strangers? Should any of them die? Should they all die? Where should part two take place? At what time period should it take place? etc... I'm interested to see what you people can come up with.

I hope if Liv returns (Which allegedly, she will) the whole sequel won't be about her (May venture into cliche-hood "Revenge"/"They're still coming!" stuff). I'd hope for something similar but not entirely the same in a different setting to a different demographic: The rumored "trailer-park" with older blue-collar guys and kids would be good (As long as they don't pepper it with "kids are good and survive becuase of that" and "middle age people are the greatest ever and can kick anyones' asses" stuff). It would be also cool for them to invade a teenage party, though it might veer dangerously into typical-teen-slasher fare... It could be good to mix stuff up though, turn it into something more of a slasher, have them toy with and target maybe one or two kids (One named Tamara maybe?) and simply kill/get rid of the rest. It would suck to have it fall into something formula, so as effective as the knocking/record-player gags were, I hope we don't get much more of that...
It might be cool to see more of the titular strangers, give them some of the personality they cut from the original script (I hope they bring in a lot of stuff cut from the original script), don't make them typical disturbed/cultish slashers, but have them only slightly neurotic people, with ritualistic compulsions... I'm really hoping they keep the killers smart and stealthy, no having their victims suddenly become "Ms. Curtis" and "Mr. Campbell" and flush all the effectiveness of the original film and the strangers themselves down the drain... As such I think they should all survive the next film whether their new victims do or not... Heck it might be cool to introduce a stranger #4.
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ

Well, she may come back but who knows for how long. I mean, she could have let out that scream with her last breath or they could base the entire sequel around her. I doubt that, though. Setting the sequel in a trailer park could definitely be interesting. I would like to see where they take that. As long as it doesn't turn into the typical stuff, they could really do something with that.
I also think that we will learn a lot more about the strangers in this one. They may even reveal who they actually are. I don't think they're going to be able to squeeze much out of this title. I mean, it doesn't have a ton of people talking about a sequel. It doesn't seem like there's much interest the sequel. In my opinion, that's pretty unfortunate as I enjoyed The Strangers. I just hope they don't screw up a sequel.

I'm thinkin' it might make a trilogy maybe (Even "I Know what you did Last Summer" had a third installment in it's unpopularity), it was fairly popular when it came out despite people badmouthing it now. Sure there's not a bunch of hype now but apparently it's not coming out till 2010...

I could see a trilogy. I do, however, think the third installment may go straight-to-dvd. I hope it does better, but who knows. I guess we'll have to wait until the box office numbers are released for the sequel.

Ditto. Be nice to have something my generation can call a old-school franchise in addition to Saw and Jeepers Creepers.
