I really wanted to see a Dylan Baker Lizard and thats never gonna happen now. Sony said they want the story to be more towards the Ultimate Spiderman comic and I think that sucks. Sam Raimi was amazing with these movies and I hope his next project is The Evil Dead sequel/remake.

Hey, a few years wasn't too soon for a Hulk remake X)
“The Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audience’s deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... I’d better stop before I give myself nightmares”

Word around the camp fire is that Raimi did not like the script for Spider-Man 3 but he directed it because he was a gun-for-hire so that he can work on another movie. Well, they proposed the script for Spider-Man 4 and he thought it was more ridiculous then 3 and that's why he dropped out.

The reboot of Spider-Man is supposed to be more high school or college oriented rather than Peter Parker fighting villains. That makes as much sense as Michael Bay not wanting too much robot fighting in the 3rd Transformers movie or Zombie not wanting a red blobby villain in The Blob remake.

Oh come on! You mean less Spider-Man in a Spider-Man film!? Bloody hell man! Now personally I wouldn't mind seeing a more Ultimate Spider-Man styled film. Well before the whole Ultimatum bullshit anyway.

No it wouldn't make much sense. Cause you have to have Spider-Man with Peter Parker. Otherwise.. it just wouldn't really be a Spider-Man movie.

If that is the case. There will be a strong outcry by the comic fans community.

I agree...
If this is what their really going to do...
They should just name the film "Peter Parker is an Emo".
