Excellent! My siblings and I have been talking about doing a group trip out for Mardi Gras... :Smiley-RubbingHands

And, of course, Bo keeps talking about a TH get together. LOL

I'll definitely let you know, and (unlike Freddy) if you ever come to Cali, you've got to come hang out!

I love that we all claim to do a month long horror movie marathon in honor of Halloween, when in reality don't we all do this anyway? LOL We're such geeks. Big Grin

I've never really done anything for Halloween. I like it, it's fun, and playing dress up always rocks, but I never have anywhere to go. The last few years I've just helped my friend pass out candy and take her daughter trick or treating while watching the Ghost Hunters live marathon on Syfy. (If I wasn't working.) This year... I guess I'm doing whatever you're doing sis! Because I'm like a leach. *latches on and sucks for dear life*

Geek
1. somebody awkward: somebody who is considered unattractive and socially awkward (insult)
2. arts outrageous carnival performer: a carnival performer whose act consists of outrageous feats such as biting the heads off live animals
3. computing obsessive computer user: somebody who enjoys or takes pride in using computers or other technology, often to what others consider an excessive degree (informal)

Nerd 1. offensive term: an offensive term deliberately insulting somebody’s physical appearance or social skills (slang insult) 2. single-minded enthusiast: an enthusiast whose interest is regarded as too technical or scientific and who seems obsessively wrapped up in it (often used in combination; offensive in some contexts)

So by the math shown I am one half a nerd and a third of a geek....crap :nite:

I'm a nerd and proud of it. That's why I like Revenge of the Nerds so much.

As a nerd, a kid named Zack Carnes would yell out the typical "Four eyes!" and I would turn to him and say simply, "Zack, you're an idiot. Glasses aren't eyes, they're glasses… go figure." Being that this insult didn't work he'd yell out, "You have no friends!" I'd, in turn, yell out, "You have no dad because he's an alcoholic!"

Sadly, for him, this was true. His dad was kicked out of his house because of his horrendous alcoholism and his mother became a loose woman leaving Zach to grow up all by himself. The poor kid, I hated him.

I was never into bulling. I was brought up to treat everyone the way I wanted to be treated, but if all else failed I had the right to defend myself and 95% of the time it was one on one no weapons and that settled things for the most part, usually became friends if not friends you were never bothered again by that person.

I remember there was a bully who would always knock me off the monkey-bars and one time he ambushed me at the end of a slide and tried to force me to eat pinecones. I never bullied back physically, I would always enact my revenge mentally or secretively.

when I was a kid my older brother "let" me watch the opening credits for 3-2-1 Contact show BEFORE SWITCHING THE CHANNEL

Our mom had us divide the days after school so I traded one of my days (Thursday) for Saturday - this way if there was any dispute as to who got to watch what show, the last piece of pizza, etc it was "who's day is it?"

(Sunday was HER DAY so we had to plead our decisions and she would make the choice)

but that didn't stop said sibling from playing the music in his room too loud during He-Man or pretending to sneeze on the slice before giving it up :reddisgust:

on the other hand if he didn't like the Simpsons I'd been stuck waiting it out until thier move to Sunday Cheers2

Looking at those just made me so happy. Lmao! I was totally a plastic face Wonder Woman when I was... six, seven maybe. God, I'm glad they don't make costumes like that anymore. LOL
