Near Dark. Awesome movie. Actually got to go to a screening of this film last weekend, where Lance Henriksen made an appearance. It was really cool.

NOES 4&5 - admittedly not the best in the franchise but my daughter and I are watching them in sequence and they're still fun. I like Lisa Wilcox as Alice at any rate.

The Ward. Wanted to like this more than I did. Amber Heard did her part well and its not a bad film. Just totally lacking in scares.

Just watched The Wolfman today. I liked the nod to the classic with the make-up job.

That's one of my favorite films of all time. Even with the super fake spiders!


We Are What We Are. So there are some people who are going to champion this as great foreign cinema. In reality it is dull as dishwater. Cannibals should actually get round to eating people at some point! Very little gore and what is there doesn't entertain. The family are so moronic you don't even give a damn what happens to them and their attempts at obtaining their victims are pathetically inept to the point where you just lose all interest in the story. Intensely disappointing (hence the rant) and boring as hell (I enjoyed the ranting more).
