I think Jason is a zombie mainly in the facet that he's known to have died. If he had survived I think he'd qualify more as Michael Myers type "boogeyman". He'd still be human despite supernatural strength and endurance, and is continually purpose-driven; neither mindless nor reasonable.

I have always thought of this question... and I think that Jason is a zombie by all definition but he is of his own creature.

He is a kind of zombie that don't come back to eat, but kill for revenge. He has a death curse lol.
