Fright Night remake moves up release date

Craig Gillespie's Fright Night 3D has been pushed up from an October release to an August 19, 2011 debut. Coincidentally, the original Fright Night, directed by Tom Holland, was also an August release back in 1985.The move can only mean Dreamworks is excited to get the film out there and they're confident it can perform in the summer market (which will be busy next year). This is also confirmation that the redo is arriving in 3D.
