- Originally set for an October 17th '08 theatrical release.
- Production was originally set to begin in early '08.
- Written by David S. Goyer (Blade, Dark City).
- One of the original rights holders, Pierre David, revealed the idea of the remake came out of the development of a TV series version of the story.
- Produced by Pierre David, René Malo and Clark Peterson.
- This project was first announced back in '02.
- It is likely that David Cronenberg will not be involved with this film since he has expressed disinterest with the whole remake idea.
- This is a remake of the 1981 David Cronenberg film.

Independently maybe, but the budget wouldn't be there and it would suffer badly and end up being shit. There is the problem: if a person who truly loves the original remakes it, studios wouldn't fund it. The studio will get somebody who probably just watched the film remake it. Either way, it will suck. :freddysss:
