Do you have sleeping issues? I do. It can be exhausting to. My mom tells me my sleeping problems go back as far as age 3 for me. Sucks to, my sleeping pattern changes about every 2 weeks for me. And i can be up as many as 4 days with no sleep at one time. But thankfully that hasnt happened in a long while. The most i can go now is 1 maybe 2 days with no sleep. Ruby usually finds ways to get me to konk out so it dont go that long. But nontheless it is still aggravating.
I'm always sleepy if I get the recommended 8 hours of sleep per night, I feel as if I overslept, I'm more comfortable with 4-6 hours.

I rarely get a peaceful nights sleep. Always waking up every hour or 2. Once in a while ill get 3 str8 hours then its like im refreshed and ready to go. The most ive attempted to sleep was 18 hours from a 4 day up binge. I think the sleep made me feel more like shit then staying up all those days, so i hear ya.
my parents telling me how worthless i am and how much of a failure i am. again.

*Gasps* OMG! Should never talk to your kids that way! Especially if its un-called for. Because it sounds like your trying to make something of yourself etc.
Tv. All good shows I watch are getting cannceled and replaced with stupid drama shows.

I do. Sleep apnea causes me to be sleepy all day. And I try to take a bath and soon as I hit the warm water I lay back and fall asleep and I can't control it. I also sometimes fall asleep while peeing lmfao. I am also known to sleep walk from my bed to the couch/chair. Confusedconf:
I'm considering starting a caffeine "diet" - sometimes I don't get to bed until midnight if not a few hours later (feel like such an old woman - and no I'm not going to tell you HOW old but old enough to buy with an ID and young enough looking to be asked for it)

I feel so sleepy in the morning I often have to nap 3 days out of the "normal" work week before I can feel more alert. Then I still feel groggy by early evening (5-7pm)

think this will help?
OK, I'm gonna answer this, but I DO want to point out that ANY "Diet" should always be looked at with some form of caution. Caffeine is fairly Safe, which is why you don't need a prescription for it (not all OTC meds are safe by the way but Caffeine, if you are careful, is usually fine).

I think one thing you might want to think about is like the MGs you want to take. Caffeine is pretty safe like I said, but people DO die from Caffeine. Once you get to the 300 MG mark, if you don't have a tolerance to it, that can make you VERY jittery, and you can also feel sick.

I've seen people get jumpy after 2 cups of Coffee (A cup of standard Coffee, from a machine that uses drip as it's way of delivery, can have anywhere from 100-200 MGs of Caffeine per Cup)... I also want to point out that those idiotic "5 hour Energy" Shots, that claim you won't crash... That's Bull. If you watch the commercials, and see what it says at the bottom in small print, it only says "No Sugar Crash" which is something you'd expect from something with no real Sugar in it.

Also, they claim how Energy drinks have SO much Caffeine, and they talk about Guarana, and how it's got 3X the Caffeine and all that... I find these commercials to be grossly incompetent because again, it says "Has about as much Caffeine as a cup of Coffee"... Well, like I said before, Coffee has 100 - 200 MGs of Caffeine per cup, and that means it has between that amount... Red Bull contains only 80 MGs of Caffeine.

So Red Bull, in a normal can, has 80 MGs Caffeine, and this thing has MORE and says it is better than Red Bull? Weird huh?

Also, do you drink Coffee on a normal basis? Or eat a lot of Chocolate? Or drink Energy Drinks at all?

Your problem with sleeping might be something you can safely solve. I'm no Doctor, other than of course "Doktor Gore" lol, but I do know my stuff when it comes to the arts of staying up.

Basically for someone who's having trouble staying up or sleeping, one thing you can try is just having Coffee in the morning, then, a few hours later try and Energy Drink, like Monster for example (They are awesome) or Red Bull.

Also know that Energy Drinks, though containing a decent dose of Caffeine, aren't FULL of it like commercials will tell you. A Red Bull in those small cans, has 80 MGs Caffeine, which is less than Mountain Dew. A Monster 16 OZ Can, has 160 MGs as does Rock Star and most others that size..

One thing I miss that they used to sell around here is "Wired - X - 344" which had 344 MGs in one can... I miss that shit lol.

Anyway, I know, long post, but if it helps you out, then it's worth it Smile
You can take Gore's advice and destroy your body, or you can do it the healthy way. Some studies have showed that there is nothing wrong with staying up for long periods of time. But energy drinks, sure they might work for a while, but it's a temporary fix because eventually, you'll be immune. And you might THINK they are still working, but it's purely mental. Think about it, if you drink 6 beers a day, and you've never drank alcohol before, you might be wasted, do it for a long time, eventually 6 beers just isn't going to cut it. I would recommend starting with simple fixes and see what works, maybe try taking a multivitamin, drinking plenty of water so your body isn't dehydrated, maybe get in a brisk walk as soon as you wake up, and make sure you eat as soon as you wake up as well, that's very important. Also if your a smoker, give up smoking. It decreases the amount of oxygen you take in which we all know your brain needs. If all else fails, you could just be suffering from some minor condition, so visit a doctor and see what's up.

Caffeine, is safe but in moderation. Hell, even alcohol has health benefits, in MODERATION.

So just keep that in mind, and imagine how you'll feel if one day you can't get to your coffee or energy drink, your going to feel 3,000 times worse than you would from being a little groggy when your head is splitting and your in asshole mode haha.
Uhhh yea Gizmo, I Believe I covered the part when I said to talk to a Doctor for ANY diet.

Caffeine tolerance isn't like alcohol. The reason of course is Alcohol works in a way that.... I don't even drink anymore. I haven't had so much as a Beer in over two years.

I started drinking kind of young because, well, I'm from Michigan, and a joke here is "There's a drinking age?" so a lot of people have shared a Beer with Dad at 14 years old during a Hockey game.

The reasoning seems to be "I'd rather you drank this shit here, where I know you're safe, then trying it at a friend's and not knowing what to do or when it's not OK to drive" and it does work to an extent.

I think the "Healthy" amount of Alcohol, is actually two glasses of Wine per day, or two Beers, or two shots.... That isn't enough to be drunk for anyone above 75 pounds yet you still get the benefits.

Coffee on the other hand has benefits up to 4 cups or so per day, and Energy drinks don't just have Caffeine. I think if you're going to tell someone Energy Drinks are bad, maybe find a way Vitamin B-6 and B-12 are too because I already said Caffeine isn't the major player.

Red Bull has less than half the Caffeine of a good cup of Coffee. It also has less than a 20 oz bottle of Mountain Dew. It has Vitamins that you do NEED.
What pisses me off is that I have to jump through so many damn hoops to try to solve simple problems. UGH!!

4 cups of coffee beneficial? Must be some weak coffee. And sure energy drinks have some decent vitamins in them, but it's proven that they provide VERY little benefits. Anything loaded with sugar, carbs, caffeine, and herbal stimulants, is a no no. I don't see a problem with having a Red Bull once in a blue moon, afterall, that's what they are made for, they arent' designed to be drank everyday, several a day like most people do. And in alot of people, they raise your blood pressure, although it's a small rise, any rise at all is a bad one. The AVERAGE cup of coffee has 100mg of caffeine per 6 ounces. The average energy drink has 280mg of caffeine per about 8 ounces. The standard safe amount of caffeine per day is 300mg a day. Your already there with an energy drink, so for people that drink 3-4 or more a day, your blowing it way out of the water. Don't care what anyone says, energy drinks are not beneficial in any way, because for every good thing, there are 5 bad.

I'm sort of a hypocrite though as I do drink them, but I don't try to make excuses as to why they are good for you, because I know they aren't.

Even water isn't completely safe anymore.

And a 12 ounce Mountain Dew has 55 mg of caffeine while a 8 ounce Red Bull has 80. Now given that mountain dew tends to come in a larger bottle, Red Bull clearly has more caffeine when it comes down to it. Especially when you buy the huge cans.

And the average, comes from ALL energy drinks, because for every major brand of energy drink, there are small brands trying to outdo the big brands for a cheaper price.
Well i dont know how true it is, i havent researched it to confirm it or whatever. But ive heard people say that the natural sugar in an apple is stronger than the caffeine in a cup of coffee and is better for you of course. Anyway, something to ponder.
They also say that even artificial sweeteners are horrible for you as well, hence why Diet Soda isn't as healthy for you as you might think. That and it tends to have high sodium.
yeah i have heard that to. And i know alot of people who just swear by that crap. Its not helping them any. If anything, its harming them. Its funny, when you ask someone, hey do you want a regular coke or a diet. And theyre like oh i gotta have a diet coke, im on a diet. ROFL Cant even trust the food and drinks these days. Remember olestra? That shit put people in the hospital.
seeing as me and gore are very much alive, i'd say there's nothing wrong with what we're doing.
here is my speech on the benefits of caffeine, works cited and all.

Bottom line: Caffeine is good for you but in a reasonable amount. Consuming too much caffeine, or consuming more than the recommended dose will lead to serious health problems in the future. If you are okay with that... consume away.
